Step 2: Get rid of any stains using distilled white vinegar. If the stain is fresh, be sure to blot (not push) the stain with a paper towel to remove as much liquid as possible. Next, use a spray bottle to spray the vinegar directly onto the stain. Let that sit for at least 5-10 minutes minimum in a well-ventilated area.
Step 3: Absorb the vinegar with baking soda. Sprinkle the baking soda all over the stain and the surface of the mattress and let that sit for several hours. The baking soda will soak up the vinegar and any odors coming from the mattress.
Step 4: Vacuum the mattress. Thoroughly vacuum the mattress a few times through to make sure that all of the baking soda is gone.

4. Why is my New Mattress too Soft?
We talked about what to expect when your new mattress feels too firm, but what if your new mattress is too soft? This is sadly a reality for those who purchase mattresses from major retailers. Earlier we mentioned that our showroom mattresses may contain body impressions to give the customer the most realistic idea of what the mattress will feel like after it’s been broken in. Major retailers don’t do this.
