Our heavy-duty plywood foundation provides superior support for your mattress in a durable form factor that’s built to last. This foundation has 10x the support of our standard foundations. This foundation is made at our Texas Mattress Makers Factory and is reinforced with both plywood and hard oak wood which makes it supportive for any weight and provides a lifelong durability for any of our mattresses.
The heavy-duty foundation provides all the benefits of a standard foundation — including elevating your mattress off the ground and preventing uneven wear — with extra support that keeps your mattress, and its components supported for their full life.
You can have legs installed directly in the foundation to make it a bed frame, eliminating the need for an additional metal frame, or you can place it directly under your bed frame like a normal foundation.
Our heavy-duty plywood foundation has a standard height of 10.5 inches, but it can also be made as 6 inches.
To find the total height of your bed, add the height of the bed frame, mattress, and foundation. Please make sure that you are getting the right size foundation for the mattress you purchase.
Disclaimer: If your bed frame already provides even and solid support or you’re using an adjustable base, a separate foundation might not be necessary. Frames using slats do not provide the even support needed.
